I use reusable metal straws and the pipe cleaner works fine with them. you air dry them standing up and since it's metal, you don't have to worry about mold. been the best for me.

Wow I need this. I have reusable straws but I don't use them because they're a pain to clean. This should be known to more people ❤

As someone who grew up in a household where even plastic non-reusable straws were cleaned and reused...well, we would rinse them with soapy water, then clean water, and then dry them at an angle, so that any water on the inside would slowly flow down or evaporate. Never had a problem and never had any gunk or mold. They would get ditched after 3-4 uses though, because they'd usually get disfigured and just untidy enough, but still, never had any issues. That said, the only thing we drank through straws were water, tea, juice and soda, I also never drank any juice with pulp in it because I couldn't, and the straws would get a rinse immediately

These will break very quickly. There are only so many times you can open and close them. The regular silicone ones are the best and they're not hard to clean with a fuzzy.

I have glass straws. They clean pretty easy and you can see if they’re not clean 😂

I really dig the silicone version of this as they’re closer in texture to normal old straws

The brushes work best on non flimsy straws, like metal or glass. Glass ones are OP ngl … silicone/plastic/metal ones suck :/

I saw straws that opened like this ~4 years ago. And they were silicone, which is pretty nice. They rolled up and over rather than clipping

I’d love to see these again in a few months after regular use. Do they continue to close properly and not leak after opening and closing them many times?

I'll keep using the metal "straws" us Argentinians have used for hundreds of years (not exaggerating, I've inherited a whole bunch) 😅 they can be cleaned just as easy, are durable and have a little filter on the base

Just give the product 10/10 if it does the job well!

You can also put the straws in dishwasher or just run them under hot water with some soap really well and leave them standing up to airdry

Sliderstraw are silicone straws that slide together. They have been around for a while. They have kind of a weird shape, but they work well and you can mix and match the colours of the two halves.

Silicone is still my fave. No weird taste. Easy to clean with a brush.

That could be a really good option, but I'm curious to see if they still work well after time. Another option if you don't like the squishy plastic ones is to use metal or glass straws. They're easy to clean and they don't really mold

I have metal straws, they are perfectly cleanable with a small brush or in the dishwasher 😄

There are straws similar to this one bc they also open but they're made of silicone which is way better quality
I have them and they open and shut easily, don't leak and are easy to clean
