Precalc C - Rose - MBHS - Blair
This is the continuation of our lesson from class which introduced parametric equations. In each problem presented here, we are given a pair of parametric equations x and y in terms of t. The goal is to produce an annotated graph showing the path of the object moving in the xy-plane according to these equations.
We consider restrictions on t (using the natural domain of x and y) and restrictions on x & y (the range of x and y).
We consider end behavior for x and y.
We eliminate the parameter.
We graph the x vs. y relationship.
We add t= labels, arrows to indicate direction, and other annotations, if necessary, such as "teleporters"
