I worked for Honda from 1999 to 2005 and these cars were top notch. Nothing could beat Accords back then.

Those were the days! I always liked the old Honda interiors, the feel of the switches, the textures of the plastics, leather and dash. The simple laid out designs and the 2 tone contrasting colors. In my opinion they were the best for the time and the price.

I'm still driving an EX sedan from this generation today! One of Honda's all time best.

Motor week really knows how to present these cars in a way to make them look attractive! I never realized just how clean and handsome this generation looks inside and out, especially in coupe form. It's interesting to see Dave demonstrate the interior of the car for a change rather than just being the voice of motorweek.

My dad bought a 98 EX sedan new and was in our family for about 10 years. It had 250k miles on it when it left, with nothing but routine maintenance. I still see it around town with well over 300k miles on it. Bulletproof cars.

The difference between a base model and top trim v6 was $2500. Imagine that in today's car market 😳

Those Accords were the best, great build quality, good to drive, super reliable... indeed so reliable you still see tons of them on the road more than 20 years later

Wish I could get a car like this today. Just a simple reliable coupe. I miss having no screens. I'm afraid we're never going back. 😢

If I see the Honda Accord, I'm already sure of the Honda quality seal. In any version, I would have this car, whether it's a coupe or sedan – both are wonderful. The 90s were a golden decade for Honda.

26 years later, even though Honda has come a long way, but the 6th generation Accord are still seen on the road today up here in Massachusetts. My neighbor still owns a sedan model and uses it as a daily driver! Go Honda!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Still driving a 99 ex coupe. All stock other than a Bluetooth adapter. Wish it was manual, but it has over 200k and no issues with the automatic. To be fair this car is immaculately maintained and I am only its 2nd owner. I get compliments everywhere I go. The red color and overall style is great and I quickly fell in love with it. I’ll keep it as my daily driver as long as I can.

I'm just noticing just how the wind farm between Palm Springs and Banning Pass at 1:09 has grown since this was shot!

I wish the V6 Coupe of this era came with a manual, but I’m very thankful the later generations certainly did!

Had a 97 Accord Ex. That was a great car. Still miss it. Such a blast to drive.

I love older videos like this. I wish I lived in this time period where I could see these things and all the other cars new

This was my wife's first car, a 98 LX sedan. She loved that car so much.

I love my 02 special edition. The automatics in the 4 cylinder models were okay if you maintained them. Most people don’t. 6 cylinder automatics were problematic, from what I understand the clutch packs weren’t substantial enough to withstand the torque of the v6 engines.

Bought a brand new 99 LX-V6 in the summer of 1999 and had it for 7 years and loved it. Had zero issues with it. Would love to have it now!

I own a 2001 EX coupe with the 5MT and 200k on the clock and daily it. Other than basic maintenance and changing out my clutch, this thing is damn near bulletproof. If I could keep it forever I would
