Linear Regression TI84 (Line of Best Fit)

Learn how to find the line of best fit using the linear regression feature on your TI84 or TI83 Graphing Calculator. We go through an example problem where you are given a set of coordinates to which you want to find the linear equation that best approximates the linear trend indicated by the points. We discuss how to plot the points on your graphing calculator, save the linear regression equation generated, and graph the line of best fit with the data points. We also briefly discuss what the r (correlation coefficient) represents as well.

I've always been intimidated and confused about how to use the TI-84 plus, as my teacher used some sort of virtual machine emulator of one in class, and clicked around really fast to the extent I couldn't even learn how to use it and was completely lost and clueless... Thanks for making this video. I am studying IGCSE, the whole class uses Casio graphic calculators, but those are expensive. I bought a TI 84 because it was less complicated than the Casio one and also, it was less expensive when bought a used one. BTW, I have the older version of the TI 84.
