This roach was a dear, dear friend. I remember when we first met as I cleaned out the back of the refrigerator. We used to have tea together; I'd give her the crumbs of my tea biscuits. I'd talk about human stuff and she'd talk about cockroach stuff. Those were good times. At least Roachel can now crawl around in the big garbage can in the sky. R.I.P. my friend. :(

He was stubborn. In all the best ways. With his 'go get 'em' attitude, and ability to shrug off insults like water off a duck's back, he will be with us to the end, nuclear apocalypse or not. My condolences to his (large) family.

often, when somebody dies, friends will pour a little wine or beer into the earth over their grave, as if toasting them, or offering them a little taste of their preferred beverage. for the soda, it's funny, because that's what a cockroach would like. :)
