Haha the executives probably imagine it's another feature to nudge people away from SW desktop and to a subscription service. Your products cost enough, and every company would do an r.o.i. calculation to figure out that the subscription model is more expensive in the long run. Because guess what, Rhino SubD also seamlessly "integrates" into SW desktop. Just import the data.

Really love the tools from SolidWorks, started my career in SW, it’s a bummer to see them so behind. I hope they can do a major overhaul soon to make these tools / features more cohesive and competitive. It may take a rebuild of SW from the ground up and I imagine that code base is older than most users 😂

useless when it's not integrated in Solidworks.
As it is it might be wiser to switch to Inventor which has this already integrated. In the end it is cheaper in use.
I use both SW and Inventor, but use Inventor more and more over Solidworks when I have the free choise.
