The news long awaited by millions of people around the world has finally arrived: the Vatican has officially expressed its positive judgment on the spiritual experience of Mejuhgoria by formulating the "Nihil obstat", the highest degree of evaluation.

This is what emerged from the Holy See Press Conference that took place today at 11 30 a m (in Rome).

The cardinal Prefect of the Dicastery of the Doctrine for the Faith, Victor Manuel Fernandez expressed the official pronouncement of the Church approved by the Holy Father.

In the Note entitled "Queen of Peace", and approved by Pope Francis on August 28, after a long work of analysis the evaluation considered all aspects with extreme care and reached a certain conclusion.

The object of discernment are the spiritual fruits that come from Mejuhgoria and are completely positive results.

The Vatican pronunciation does not enter into the merits of the life of the seers and does not aim to evaluate the supernaturality of the apparitions.

This data is not in fact part of the discernment on mystical phenomena and on the apparitions provided for by the new rules issued by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith last May.

Once the fruits have been analyzed and the presence of elements that manifest spiritual vitality and orthodoxy to the Catholic faith has been ascertained, having observed the numerous conversions that take place in Mejuhgoria as a sign of the Holy Spirit acting, the Dicastery has made this decision.

Officially all this is expressed in a decree of the diocese of Mostar in which it is stated that "the conditions are met to proceed with the clearance decision".

The many messages of the Madonna were also examined, emphasizing how "they offer a strong theocentric vision of spiritual life and invite faithful trust in a God who is love".

Pilgrimages, which already take place to a considerable extent from all over the world, are encouraged and promoted. The cult of Mary with the title of "Queen of Peace", as it is defined in Mejuhgoria, is officially authorized.

The devotion to Mary "Queen of Peace" is therefore approved and has the complete recognition of the Church. The Cardinal Prefect in his broad statement underlined many points and focused on some very important aspects.

Among the elements to be observed with caution there is the risk of reducing Mejuhgoria to emotional experience but we must consider the real call for the faithful.

The positive, concrete and objective elements on the current situation concerning Mejuhgoria are good fruits in which the action of the Holy Spirit is recognized and evident.

Good, cant deny whats true..but what about the 10 secrets given? In fatima there was only 3 and the third secret wasn't made known...in medjugorie she gave 10..would the Vatican stop the revelations of these messages 🤷

Now that Medjugorje has been recognised by the Vatican, I believe Our Lady's Immaculata Heart will soon be triumphant!!

The title given Medjugorje in no way states that it is Mary appearing there (Please see quoted text below). It is not the highest position given to an apprition  - which would be "of supernatural origin " which would come from the Pope. With that said, the primary fruit would apply to the original accounts of "seers" and the Priests which advised them (no longer Priests...one excommunicated). Any good fruits from Medjugorje could just be God bringing good out of evil for those that seek Him with a sincere heart. People say "millions of conversions "...who exactly is keeping count? How many were just spiritual highs? Definition of title given Medjugorje:


"The document defines Nihil obstat this way: “Without expressing any certainty about the supernatural authenticity of the phenomenon itself, many signs of the action of the Holy Spirit are acknowledged ‘in the midst’ of a given spiritual experience, and no aspects that are particularly critical or risky have been detected, at least so far.” In such cases, a local bishop “is encouraged to appreciate the pastoral value of this spiritual proposal, and even to promote its spread, including possibly through pilgrimages to a sacred site.”


"In a detailed analysis after nearly 15 years of study, the Vatican’s doctrine office didn’t declare that the reported apparitions in Medjugorje were authentic or of supernatural origin. And it flagged concerns about contradictions in some of the “messages” the alleged visionaries say they have received over the years."
