Body and Paint: The orange paint shines well. A couple of imperfections on the hood but it's good otherwise. All panels are straight without any major signs of rust. The under carriage is also in great shape! Not a show quality paint job but a very nice driver quality one! The car was painted to be a "Big Bad Orange" tribute car and certainly looks the part!

Engine and Transmission: This AMX has a 390ci V8 engine with a manual 4 speed transmission that can handle the power! Power brakes and power steering, this is a non A/C car.

Interior: The black bucket seats seat are in great shape along with the carpeting, no rips or tears etc, this car from AMC had no rear seat from the factory.

Wheels and Tires: The BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires (P205/70R14) look relatively new and show well with the Magnum 500 wheels.

Suspension: The car sits on springs and shocks in the front and multi leaf springs in the rear.

Electrical: Everything in the electrical department appears to work as it should besides the radio in the car. The radio appears to get power, however it does not seem to be working.

Glass: All of glass is clear and has no scratches and is free of any cracks.

History: We purchased this from a private seller out of Wisconsin. No other documentation was provided with this vehicle.

I bought my '69 from these guys! The oil light on mine was out as well. It turned out to be a wire swap. A previous owner used the oil light feed to power a fancy car stereo. My guess is they overlooked the "Radio" post on the fuse panel. I noticed a coiled-up blue wire lying near the factory AM radio that they'd put in after yanking the stereo unit, but didn't put two and two together until a few months ago when I replaced the instrument cluster circuit board. There was a loose blue wire lying on top of a harness behind the cluster, and after checking for continuity between each wire and the other end of the oil light feed (which was also blue), the mystery was solved. I pulled the coiled-up wire off the cluster pin plug, slipped the loose blue wire in its place, reconnected the lead at the sending unit, and bingo! Most of the interior on my '69 is original except for the headliner and side panels where the shoulder belts were. Under the hood, the 390 has an Offemhouser intake manifold and an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor. I managed to score an original Rally-pac dealer gauge package and put it in, so at least I had an oil pressure gauge. Mine is Beale St. Blue, repainted over the original paint, not perfect, but very nice just the same. It also has Flowmaster mufflers. The folks at Blackhwak replaced the gas tank before I took delivery.
