I remember driving home after waitering at a party at around 3 am in the pitch black of dawn. This song started playing out of the blue from a suggested songs playlist on spotify. The song before had just ended and there was a long pause, I thought perhaps my phone's signal was down. Out of the silence, a hum started creeping in and it was so surreal that I thought I was in a dream, hallucinating from lack of sleep or about to get abducted by aliens (cause you know in movies the flying saucers always make weird sounds when they are about to abduct humans from their cars. I even looked above my car from the windshield glass to make sure). I had my volume all the way up and the streets were barren. That's when I heard the voice "Hey are you even paying attention to me right now?" -as I had just decided to ignore the sound and keep driving. I almost pissed my pants.

this mv potrays some sorta feeling. a couple that were actually in an argument. they were frustrated/upset... but they were both ego at the same time. no physical violence, but they were hurting each other’s feelings. in the beginning, we see the girl, sobbing. and he tried to console her. and in the end, they both sit down, but still refused to show even a little bit of affection towards each other, to put their ego aside eventhough they were done fighting/arguing. like most couples normally do, they let ego win.

i dont know how many times ive had this on repeat but one day i was listening to it with headphones and i said the intro part out loud (hey hey HEY are you even paying attention to me right now??) and my friend heard and was just like "what? but you weren't... even saying anything.." and i dont know why but that was just the highlight of my day

It's so crazy... Having stayed in Taiwan for about 2 months (in both Taipei and Kaohsiung), I immediately said "This place looks so Taiwan-ish". Turns out it's in Taipei! Awesome. Love the vibe and mood of the city, and definitely love Homeshake!
