I just love this. Growing up in Hawaii this brings back memories. The black sand beach was so much hotter than regular sand. 🥵 I think sprinkling the sand on at the end brings the beach feel out. If I ever get the chance I have to try this.

I love the sand but I also love the matte…. Next time use matte mod podge to apply the black sand. I am going to try this project this coming weekend 😍😍😍

This is just beautiful. I liked the matte finish, wonder if there was perhaps a matte finish glue that would have kept that look. Love the monotone look of it and you're right, that gold edging sets the whole thing off so nicely!
