I honestly don’t know why they changed the locker when the last patch before chapter 5 was way better than current one. Now it was confusing and sometimes rage inducing when emotes are completely separated from the main outfit category. I really hope they somewhat revert this since it’s kinda a major inconvenience in terms of changing outfits between matches

The changes to the locker are probably the most inexplicable. Like, they very objectively made it MORE complicated in what was very obviously an attempt to make it easier to navigate given the new items.
But now you need to equip character, emote, wrap, and lobby customizations in separate groups and then trued to compensate by giving you all the customization presets, likely character-based, you had beforehand in every group and introduced even more visual clutter with no mass-delete feature.

The mud being removed kind of reminds me of the sand being removed. They could have added it anywhere but they chose to get rid of it and it was an amazing feature and I want it back

I love their attempt at making the gameplay more fast paced by increasing how fast the storm is. However, that change is practically useless if our characters can barely run or walk fast enough to not get destroyed by it in seconds. If they want faster storms, they have to either increase regular movement speed or increase the amount of time you can sprint. Otherwise, it’s not very fun. Having your biggest enemy be the storm is not the greatest thing when you’re supposed to be fighting other people. And the amount of bots need to be decreased more too. Still too many.

The map is insane but most of the other features like locker or movement was completely butchered for no reason

Honestly out of all the seasons, even right now, I definitely prefer Chapter 2 over all other chapters. Including this new one m it just felt more….flexible and simple compared to all the ones that came after.

Companies love changing stuff for no good reason, but when the thing you’re changing is in one of the biggest games of all time, you can’t expect people to like it. Do we want FN to feel like a “new game?” If Fortnite og should’ve taught epic anything, more people want the old stuff back.

Honestly I like alot about this new season. The movement is kinda weird but that's just cause I'm not used to it and I'll get used to it eventually. The only thing I really don't like is the locker change, it's so weird having to go to all the different sections in the locker for EVERYTHING, plus I had all my presets organised in sections like my mains, randoms, icons ect. Now they're all bunched up and weird. Also has anyone else noticed that when you go into the styles of a skin it auto equips that skin? Like sometimes I just wanna look at the styles, doesn't mean I want the skin equiped. They also made it more difficult to favourite items, before I just had to press down on the right joystick of my controller and now I have to go down to options go down again past archive THEN favourite it. I understand making the different sections for the new gamemodes but the regular locker could have stayed as it was. Idk if I'm the only one feeling this way or not but yeah, everything else this season is pretty good though.

For the movement, the only two options that they can either go with is going back to how it was, or increase the speed.

6:40 I feel like this a much easier solution than the quests. First off, you could only do 1 urgent quest a match, and sure *some* of them were easy, but not for the average Joe player just trying to get the rewards, whereas storm circle are much more universally easy, anybody could camp and get an easy 5-11 circles, plus you could even possibly get two rewards in a single match. Overall I feel like this is a definite positive for rank, it doesn't force you to do something and you can just play out the match the way you want.

The med spray would still be usefull and preferable since it allows you to keep what ever was left of healing plus having an aditional 50 points of healing even if it's less total healing than 2 medkits it would be more versatile at keeping you toped off from storm damage or geting poked during a fight trough medalions.

My guess is they removed it because of medalions since it would allow you to be at full health all the time.

I really, REALLY hate the change to the locker, it has separated emotes and cosmetics. WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT THEM SEPARATED?

If Fortnite doesn't bring jogging back, I may not play anymore. Movement sucks now, I can't travel anywhere! Especially since the new map is huge, it really sucks. It's so hard to fight, or run away from fights. Sprinting isn't constant so it doesn't really help me when I'm out of stamina. Really hope epic at least makes us move faster.

What I don’t get is people who slam Friday Colin’s for the changes to movement. He just created the new animations, not the statistical changes

med mist was great to have health when you just needed a little, but didn't want to drop the whole item.

Epic games: slows the player movement and makes storm faster.
Also epic games: "why is everyone hating this chapter? Is mean't to be better"

Out of all the changes they made with this season, for me the new locker U.I is definitely the most annoying. It made things way more complicated, especially because I had every thing organized to my liking and now if I want to play as a certain character I have to equip the skin, the emotes, and the music separately, which is really annoying.
