Please please please don’t ever stop making a sewing machine that isn’t computerized! I still have my 930 Bernina and a Bernina serger that came with it for $400.00. I know I can’t believe that either. Lol. I purchased a 1260 last year and I have to say that I love them both but my 960 is my favorite. I feel that being able to fine tune my stitches myself is what I prefer. It lets me get to know the personality of a sewing machine when it’s all manual. I love Bernina and I know that there are many more women besides me that wouldn’t trade our oldies but goodies in on the newer sewing machines.

The upper Class modern Berninas are nice (my wife has got a B485)
but my all-time favorite Bernina is my 70+Year old KL-117 with FHS (Hands-free-System) and originally attached 125W Scintilla (Bosh) Motor.
I even prefer this old machine over my other Bernina, a 217-Industrial (made in 1984) because it runs way smoother.
The KL-117 is imo the best sewing machine ever made - at least it's the best I've ever worked with.

I have a Bernina Nova I bought in 1980 and I haven't even changed the lightbulb. Would you believe it had 30 years warranty. Still have all receipts etc for it.It just keeps going. Have a 720 which much more complicated and has many more features but I prefer my old machine as it is more reliable. Have had the sensors replaced in 720 after 4 years and it often plays up.

Bernina 720 Sewing Machine or the Bernina 740 Sewing Machine and I'm looking at your website, can you tell which model is the better of the two please? The only difference I can see is that the 740 is a newer model. Newer software updated?

I have a Record 730 still in mint condition and has been used and serviced regulalry. It must have at least a million miles on it..! I am aware it will become more difficult to service and get parts. Having recently taken up quilting, I am looking for a replacement machine. I am an excellent sewer but wondered if the 475 QE is too much machine for me. I am 70 years old and would appreciate your advice.
