This verse means that even though God knows that a particular person is goining to go to hell because of their character, He still allows them to exsist and He will use their rebellion to bring about His Glory

Here's who God will have mercy on:

"God has committed all to disobedience that he might have mercy on *all* ... From him and through him and to him are *all* things." (Romans 11:32, 36)

Romans 8:19-21 is similar.

I wish you would’ve added a little bit more of what you had to say at the end of the short, even though I know you made a whole video about it. I watched it and thought you did a good job responding to that video. However I think to the people who just see this short and haven’t watched the full video would benefit from getting more insight from what you have to say rather then simply pointing out what she has done with the verse.

I think this is where John Calvin really messes up in his interpretation of Paul’s message here because Calvin‘s interpretation directly defies what Peter says when he tells us that it’s not God’s will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God can and will do whatever He wants. He made all things by His own power. He has every right to do whatever He pleases.

No one is worthy of the goodness and free gift of eternal life. It is only by the Lords righteousness, Grace and Mercy that we receive salvation.
