A Tentative Explanation of the Aztec Calendar

After a long break, we bring you a short explanation about the Aztec/Mexica Calendar. There are actually two and a half calendars: the Tonalpohualli, the Xiuhpohualli, and the Venus Count. Only briefly do we go over the Xiuhnelpilli and the New Fire Ceremony.

I just caught three mistakes:

1. In the Tonalpohualli animation (the circle rotating within another circle), they are 19 signs instead of 20. We did not realize this until we rendered the video. Whoops!

2. For the Venus Count, I mentioned that they used the 20 signs like the Tonalpohualli for the years. They only used 5 of the 20. Sorry for the confusion.

3. At 3:02 I mentioned that 1-crocodile only repeats every 52 years. It's actually every 260 days. Once again, I'm sorry for the confusion. Many thanks to Kotuseid for catching that!

Still very good, despite minor errors. There is a inherent relationship between the numbers 12 & 20. "Myths" are truths and whether they are factual or not, is besides the point. The Occidental religions, especially Christianity, which has was the only religion that conquered the Americas, took linear, historical, view of "Myths", instead of as a metaphor. The world may end at a symbolic time in the circular timeline, but it doesn't matter, as far as the mythological meaning. The story of Rip Van Winkle, contains 20 years of sleep, in which his beard grows one foot (12 inches). The three sisters type of planting corn, beans and squash, in the Americas are on mounds that average, 12 inches tall & 20 inches wide. The chum salmon, have vertical stripes on each side. They are always between 12 & 20 on each fish. I have much more with 12 & 20. The main fact to remember is that the number of the universe is 20 and the basic cycle cycle of the body is 20 minutes.

The Gregorian calendar is a fixed copy using all the Aztec sun Stone/ Maya calendar measurements. You see, every other religion/ civilization had a lunar calendar or solar, not together like it should be. Which was not precise, until the roman Catholic invading aztecs. Finding aztec sun stone, found out to have a precise calendar. You need to divide days of the year with hrs of the day. Moon n sun, no old calendar involved clock, just days. So a 13 month calendar will not fit. No 13 hrs round. So technically a circle is 360° degrees. A year is 360 days. A circle represents a yr or it's off. You have to fit the 365 days inside, But it takes 5.25 days for spring to arrive. Not new years. 365 doesn't fit in a even pie. Aztec sun stone has the sacred 13x20x20=5200
Or the 52 year round calendar. Which is now the 52 weeks a year we have. So you divide, 365÷24=15 you cant have a 24 month calendar 15 days because moon cycles every 28 days. Now you divide 24 in half. 12. 365÷12=30. You get your 12 months 30 days. Making 360 but still have 5 days left over. You add them to other months including the 2 days of feb. Making seven months with 31 days. I believe we have to start new year in spring like the Aztec. Romans would celebrate saturnalia mid dec. No other religion had a sacred calendar but sacrificed and had pegan worship. Now 365÷52=7
7 days a week, 52 weeks a yr, 365 days a yr. A copy. Aztec calendar was already divided like a clock. 4 season a yr. All seasons in one yr inside the circle . Each season 3 months or 3 hr on the clock. Now Egyptians had 3 seasons. 4 months each. 12 months a yr. 30 days each month, aztec sun stone was and is the true precise calendar and clock. The Gregorian is fixed and off. I learned this myself. I found out to make a precise calendar, you have to divide moon n sun, Its like i rediscovered how the Gregorian was made. Using all the aztec sun stone measurements. Remember it was 12 ft tall. 24 k lbs 3.6 meters across. Sacred geometry, How we spin the sun or sun spins us in a yr with the true 20 zodiacs. Sahagun not only believed, but was told that it began around the 2ND of February! That means the 12TH of February in Gregorian terms. But that is only generalized. It actually can begin from the 26TH of February to the 12TH of February because there is a correction addition of days every 52 years. Your video making is incredible but your information is 2nd rate.
