Hindi rin ganoon kalala pagdating sa economic restrictions when compared to the 1973 and 1987 constitutions.

Yun nga lang, yung martial law provision ng presidente sa 1935 Constitution, binase sa martial law powers ng governor-general sa 1916 Jones Law na wala ring legislative oversight considering the officeholder is an American and hindi kailangang magpaalam ng colonial power sa kanilang mga subjects kahit pa may all-Filipino legislature tayo that time.
