Tekken 5 was the peak of the franchise in my opinion, just pure classic.

Edit: lots of people say tekken 3 is peak, and I see why they say that, but the good thing about tekken 5 is you can play the arcades of tekken 1, 2, and of course tekken 3😎

Until tekken 7, jinpachi was the bane of my existence as far as bosses go. Over the top cheap with moves that don't belong in tekken, and he doesn't feel good to win against, cuz you end up just cheesing him out. The AI frame perfect input read was crazy too

I remember playing through this game trying to see all the endings for all the characters, and man sometimes it felt like beating Jinpachi was just hopeless. Started having headcanon stories about the number of battles the character is having with Jinpachi.

Tekken 5 is the most wholesome vibe. Amazing music, amazing stages, amazing cutscenes, the dialogues between the characters, playable boss character, amazing graphics and most important it was the last realistic tekken without insane juggles, rage drives etc. Not necessarily a bad thing, but these made fights feel less believable whereas Tekken 5 is the best at balance between realism and entertaining gameplay. It brought the best from Tekken 3 and Tekken 4 combined minus the disadvantages of each. Though it may just be me and my nostalgia, you can't deny that this chapter is when Tekken was at its peak.
