Reverse Acrylic Painting of Goku for Christmas #arteza

•My process 👇🏼

-start off with a sketch on a piece of paper, remember you are working backwards. Make sure you flip the image before you sketch it so when you are done it is in the correct orientation.

-peel off the plastic from one side of your acrylic panel, this is the side you will be working on.

-place the acrylic panel on top of your sketch, I taped them together so I wouldn’t have to worry about keeping them lined up.

-trace your sketch with the black oil based paint marker, if you are right handed work left to right and for left handed people work right to left. This is so you don’t smudge your drawing oil paint takes awhile to dry, make sure you let this part dry for an hour or 2 at least.

-this is where I messed up and used the chrome marker, I don’t know if I didn’t let the black dry long enough or if it’s because this marker is alcohol based but it didn’t layer well with the black.

-this step I used the red acrylic paint from the previous project so I could do Gokus hat, I encourage everyone to use the supplies from other projects to give yourself more options to create with ✌🏼

-now working with the blue acrylic paint I fill in the background with the flat number 6 brush.

-I finish off the work on the back side of the acrylic panel with the white acrylic paint provided for this project.

-last step I peel the plastic from the front side of the panel and finish it off with some snow flakes on the front of the panel with a white acrylic paint marker
