damn right it will well said bro... love my rx8, only had it a week now and can honestly say it the best sports car ive driven for fun and speed, my new spark plugs, HT leads and coils should hopefully turn up today so i can see its full potential (engine bouncy on idle and miss at 6000 rpm)!!

This is putting down roughyl in the low 300's 310*315. 12 psi puts it around 330 ish to the wheels. Next year it will be getting a bigger turbo set up, and higher boost.

I live in southern california so I see RX8's about 50 times a day.
I don't know I still do prefer the 7 but the 8 gorgeous, I LOVE the way it looks in the back.

RX8s are badass my dad has one I had to learn how to drive it because I just bought they Toyota MR2 and didn't know how to drive a stick. RX8s are fast as hell and are nice looking too

who care how many time you got to rebuild it after the first coupe of time you would know that thing like the back of your hand just got to love that feeling tearing apart your car and seeing all those peaces and then up and running the next.

This car is just as quick as a 3rd gen Rx7 with mid 300's to the wheels. Idk why people keep bringing the car down. They already have them in the 500 hp range. Also a company is working on making them P-Exhaust port similar to that of older rotaries. This one is going to get a bigger turbo here soon and shooting for mid 400's

I totally respect the rally pedigree of the WRX & Evo, they are amazing performance cars but I prefer a more well rounded car that offers power, handling, sexy looks, high quality interiors, reliability, tunability, and affordability. I wouldnt buy an RX8 either (not enough torque), but I would prefer one to a WRX or Evo since modifying the RX8's engine would be easier and cheaper than making an evo or wrx look good on the inside/outside. Although 2008 or newer Evo's are pretty sick.

lets see that rotary do that in 20 yrs without like 50 rebuilds, mr2s are bomb proof, mine spooled stock psi on a stock turbo unit with 180, 000 miles and no rebuild, gotta love em!!

It’s not exaggerated at all. Car and Driver did a comparison test on whats the best driver’s car under $100, 000 and the rx-8 finished at 3rd place . Two reasons why it landed there: handling, and driving experience. Through various tests, the rx-8 did in fact beat the GTR and m3 in terms of handling. It is also stated to have one of the most rigid and complete chassis ever made into production with its perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

@jdmsai1 that hardly makes sense, you're just doing it wrong. Just make sure you start the race before the turbo spools. lol. Have you considered getting aftermarket cams to increase the power band? (yeah ik im not one to talk, i still have the 5sfe)

Mate, started thinking about getting RX7 fd, how good is it? What else have you owned and how does it compare, in what ways is it better than the rx8? Considering an RX7 made me start to also think about rx8, say because it is newer and more practical ect.

@jdmsai1 Its decently quick that's for sure... This is a bit quicker than turbo mr2's. The roil was a bit laggy cause the rx8 was in 4500 rpms. Next year that mr2 will be getting a
2gr.
