I am listening to these people freezing in their homes. I know what this is like I´ve been there more times than I care to remember - especially during those high interest rate years. My little baby went to bed in his snowsuit - always had lung problems. So am literally with tears in my eyes as I listen to these people - it is tragic. I know how horrible it is - all those memories flooding back.

I am old enough to remember the Labour governments of the 1960 - we as children had to work to contribute to the family income - Labour with their anti-private business policy did their level best to destroy Dad´s wood factory. A business he set up with his demob pay after WW2. We were always hungry as kids and cold in winter - 2 sets of clothes - one on one in the wash. I can´t believe that 60 years later and Labour are doing it again.

When you played that heartrending call from Theresa, all the ghastly smirking Rentoul could say in response was 'that's a terrible case'. Case? Case? She's a poor dear elderly lady in a horrible situation, she's not a case. Rentool is being as callous as Starmer. Shame on him trying to dehumanise her. Disgusting. Well done Mike, for taking him to task.
But to echo one of your callers, we've had enough of this. It needs to stop.

Got really cross today. Everyone I know is cold and has got the heating off because of the cost. Meanwhile, we are also paying a lot of money for men who should not be here to be too warm. Then Angela Knight made me feel irrate. The standing cost for me is a massive portion of my bill per day. Ripped off totally by all and sundry and we pay the salaries of that shower of charlatans currently 'running' the country.
