I feel so stuck where I’m at now, I’m just over 2 months in and I’m hitting jugs to big cup and some lunars, but can’t seem to get my whirlwinds yet at all, and still having a really hard time tracking the dama for jug to spike. You look like a wizard. Great video!

Great video… love the humour and the inspiration!! Dude… these are tough tricks!! Much respect!! A few things have happened to me on my kendama journey: 1) The nagging wrist tendonitis in my right wrist has flared up, and believe it or not… tossing and catching things aggravates one’s tendonitis. So, I’ve been slacking but also occasionally enjoying my smaller & lighter kendamas which are easier on the wrist. Yes, I am right-handed and let’s just say that left-handed kendama play has not really gotten off the ground (literally)!!. 2) I have not been able to progress to more challenging kendama tricks in a really, really, really long time (just like @Kiel Li has mentioned below). 3) I have fallen in love with Monkey Knuckles… I am, of course, referring to the skill toy and not the weapon. They are super creative to play with, and easy on the ol’ wrist… very addictive (just like all skill toys) 4) It’s 5aMay and I have been outside trying to perfect my 5aYoYo skills... cuz that style of play gets a little outa control sometimes!! Still a long ways to go on this one!! 5) I learned how to make homemade bagels and got sidetracked in the kitchen… but one can always pick up a skill toy when they 🥯🥯🥯 are in the oven!! Thanks for the kendama inspo in today’s video. I do pick up at least one skill toy per day, and I am finding there is a tonne of crossover between any and all skill toys that have a string.
