Just wanna say I appreciate how you overlay your screen capture over the projector screen. It's subtle and I'm sure it doesn't always get noticed but it really is worth the extra effort 👏

Gotta tell you, if you follow this process to the T, you’ll learn to shallow the club. I’ve been an over the topper for more than 20 years. This is an amazing drill! Game changer

Excellent Mark, a simple move that ultimately give us power in the downswing which is not always easy to find when shallowing

I just figured this out earlier today lol. At least you reinforced my findings.

I knew I had this issue before this video, and I've seen a million ways to fix it but for some reason, this way has never shown up before, definitely going to try it as already I can tell that with enough practice it'll naturally solve the issue

Another great drill and demonstration. My fix for this issue was making the club feel like is "looping" behind me; the weight of the clubs feel is much the same.

Been struggling with impact/strike and path. Was a the range today and started trying this, when I hit balls. Results were incredible. Don't know what it did to my path, but all shots were definitely straighter, higher and longer, especially noticeable with driver. Impact also much better. I've seen this video before but never tried it, it must have been there in the back of my mind.

I am definitely familiar with this feel. I think it took me a while to work it into my swing, but eventually it did. I’m glad this video is up because that feel is just so helpful… Thanks Mark!

Hi Mark, I use a flat baseball type swing, which means I don’t have to let them drop. I also find the release is far easier with this. A pro taught me this 16 years ago when I was 50, and it’s worked for me since

Please go back to Bethpage Black with your "new" swing. I grew up in Farmingdale NY and played the Black numerous times in the late 70's when it was a glorified cow pasture. I moved in 1980 so I've never played the improved course but it's still my favorite course because thats where I learned to play.

Is this the same move Justin Rose practices?
I've been trying it for weeks and it's been helping my ball contact and distance.👍

Nice drill….question, why not just take the backswing into the relatively dropped down postion w club head behind the hands vs what is suggested in the video, a more traditional backswing then dropping club head behind? Thanks for any thoughts

Watched this video yesterday and tried it at the range yesterday afternoon. Couldn't keep the ball on the planet with Driver, irons distance was good, but might be left, might be right, rarely on target. But there were a few, very few, where it felt like I purposely tried to leave my hands/arms behind me and make my body pull them through that felt effortless and strike was great. If I tried to add speed to it...forget it. I think I need to work on it without concern for speed/distance for a while. That or maybe...give up the game. ha
