Carmen isn't terrible for not wanting her bio child back imho. She was already being a parent for Grace. The issue is she thinks it's too late to discipline her bio kid to stop being spoiled.

Because if the point is she really think parents like Carlos and Gaby are why Juanita is spoiled, wouldn't that be more reason for her to want the bio kid back to correct the spoiled behavior instead of less reason? Yet she doesn't want her bio kid back. Which means either she thinks 8 years it too late to correct the spoiled behavior or she's content with raising just Grace even if no biological relation. Only Gaby is making a big deal about the bio related to point she was willing to almost get Carmine deported as a desperate means to have Grace. She only changed tune because she saw how Grace was panicking and wanting the mom that raised her.

I'm tired of people constantly defending Gaby. Yes some actions sure defend. But, this isn't one of those scenes to defend her for IMHO.
