Melodies of Life ranks among my favorite Final Fantasy songs. It's pure kitsch, but it beautifully captures the spirit of Final Fantasy IX and what the series should be about as a whole.

Even tho im 11 which is an age where mostly, we dont really know final fantasy. Thanks to my amazing father, he gave me his old ps2 and gave me GREAT games including ffx and ff11...i love singing this song..even learned it on the piano. When he was sick with Tubercolosis i sang this to him..even played it on the piano even if i only know not much of the notes. Day by day, he got better and recovered. I will forever thank the good lord for this. This happened 8 months ago. Thank you so much atinpiano for inspiring me to practice this song.

This piece is deceptively difficult. It doesn't SOUND like it would be that hard, but holy crap is it ever! The constant syncopated rhythms are a BEAST.

my God.... All the nostalgic chills that I just got. I listened to this a similar piano cover on repeat some 5 or 6 years ago while I was writing a story. I didn't know it was this song. Imagine the strangest feeling I just went through when I know how the song will go but I don't know how I knew that!! That freaked me out a bit, but then it just clicked and I knew exactly where I heard this before and I remember the story that I wrote all those years ago! Wow! That was cool. I'm glad i stumbled upon this on recommended. What an experience!
