I remember as a kid growing up in Trinidad and Tobago in the '80s, aspiring to be a vocalist, I used to eavesdrop on my neighbor's radio, we didn't have one of our own, and "Better Davis Eyes" was one of the songs that touched me, so every time I hear it, it's like I time travel into a happy innocent nostalgic place. Now I'm grown and a great vocalist myself, thank you, Kim Carnes. *hint* I see her sipping the tea, vocalists take note

somethings just get better with age. loads of people say older people cant sing like they used to. they are wrong. kim carnes is just one of loads of singers that sound exactly the same as they did over 30 years ago. im british and i love to see her. her husky voice made her the singer she is today.
