Time for another long-requested feature: the ability to exclude shorts from search results. There are now so many shorts that they pollute the search results and, in some cases, make them useless. You can filter by "4 to 20 minutes" which will leave out the shorts but it will also leave out a whole bunch of longform content that is shorter than 4 minutes but in 16:9 landscape format and which can be quite valuable. We know YT wants to force shorts onto its audience but it's about time you considered that not everyone wants shorts in every search result.

When will we get an update on this? None of my friends have access to this yet, when will it expand to a bigger group?

I think they forgot to roll it starting this year huh?

Great feature, the only left thing is a tablet layout for YT Studio with more advanced features from the web. It is the biggest Google app left behind of tablet implementation.

Is there going to be an option to see the click-through rate for each thumbnail instead of only the watch time?

Wow I would have hoped it would roll out sooner than sometime next year. We still have 6 months left of 2023

Thank you! Always wanted this but could never justify paying tube buddy's exorbitant price for it.

April 2024 and still no sign of Thumbnail A/B Testing. Even big channels don't all have the option, as some might think.

Well the execution seems to miss the bar completely...we don't pick winners of a thumbnail by "Watch Time" as your video shows. The more important data to analyze a successful thumbnail would obviously be Click Through Rate.

Thanks for sharing an update on this feature! And would LOVE to have CTR column in there too... not only watch time. 🙂
