Believe me, Catalan is best for classical games, very classic opening

After studying just few lines from your s&s catalan, my game improved a lot from white side. I frequently get better positions out of the opening.

I play the queen's gambit quite often, Wanted to learn a proper opening and I have been confused between London system and Catalan, Some suggest that London is better for lower-rated players (I am around 1600+) and Catalan is more theoretical and for advanced players, Is it true? And should I learn Catalan?
