In my experience, born as in a muslim family, i never liked listening to music completely. I remember I used to listen to it but when I quit it i felt much more peaceful. I started asking myself how is this music gonna benifit me with my relationship with allah and my akhira? How can I listen to music more than the quran? And let me tell u, ever since I gave it up, Ive been feeling less agitated and fearful. Whats the point of it when it wont even benefit you in the end? Our whole lives we listen to music for hours on end or sevral mintues more than the quran and the music lyrics get stuck in our heads rather than the qurans verses? It takes me away from the rememberance of god when I listen to music. I swear for me, music kept me distant from god and I could never feel kusho in my salah. Im not here to tell anyone, but Im just letting you guys know my experience giving up music.

Salam sheik, some Muslims have created songs with music singing about Allah, prophets, and Deen. But the issue is that it is in Ghina form. Is this permissible? I think Sistani says no as an obligatory precaution.
