I SUSPECTED MY FILIPINA GF WANTED TO POISON ME. So I spoke to my barangay captain, wanting him to talk to her before calling police. He agreed & called her in for interrogation. Scott's problem hit home as I am trying to get my Filipina to go to the gym with me and she actually admitted she wanted to see me a little chunky as "a Filipino thing" that married couples carry a few extra pounds as it shows they are "Happy". So Scott is seeing it from a Cultural point of view. And while I agree being "Boots on the ground" is Best as i signed up 2 weeks before my flight landed and had about a half dozen ladies i was talking to which gave me the opportunity to travel around. And it was the Head and Heart that had me choosing my Lady; or I should say it was actually her being educated thanks to her mom being an English teacher. There were some real Beauties but I knew enough to keep it in the pants till I found the one I connected with on Multiple levels. And Yes her Family helped seal the deal as some women had some relatives i knew would end up causing me drama verses my girl where the opposite is true.So while you think a province girl is the answer sometimes the educated shy bookworm who you connect with and enjoy their company is allot better then the hoochie cutie with the broken English and unusual habits you can't seem to communicate about. Life is 24 hours a day not just the couple in the sack.

I understand your point of starting to chat to girls on dating apps only while being there in the Philippines, so that theoretically dates can happen faster. However, I found that a lot of girls on dating apps aren't honest with regards to their location. Since I was going on a trip to Cebu City, I chatted to a bunch of girls who, supposedly, were from Cebu City according to their profile. But through chatting, it turned out none of them actually were. Most of them were from the province, 2 or 3 hours away from Cebu City in any direction, while one was from Bohol and one was from Samar. Point being, arranging a date with them the same day was practically impossible because they lied about their location.
Guys, take this advice: Girls on dating sites know that some of us use filters to search for girls from certain cities/regions, and many of them will change their location to Cebu City, Dumaguete City, Metro Manila, or whatever other popular tourist/expat location is closest to them, even if it's many hours away. So always ask them where they are really from, because when you are chatting, they will tell you the truth.
