Epic 4-Day Steelhead Fishing Adventure on the Rogue River

Fishing for Steelhead Trout on Oregon's Rogue River with Helfrich River Outfitters. The Rogue is becoming my favorite river and after this experience it's hard to deny. Rowing drift boats from lodge to lodge, surrounded by beautiful fall colors. It doesn't get more magical than this.

Love that I came across this. I grew up on the Rogue River. It is a huge part of my life as a kid and now as an adult after 30 years, I moved back closer but on the coastal side. I have spent a lot of time rafting and hiking this area. When someone asked for a place to hike this is my first mention.

Actually cutthroats, brown trout, dolly vardens, and brook trout all go to the ocean. Rainbows are anadromous more than the others. I hear ya, Brookeis and Dollie’s are char. Right. Technically the only trout native to America is the Atlantic Salmon. I’m using the term “trout” in the vernacular.
