First of all thank you very much for this wonderful video. One quick question - why did you specify administrator as user for "repository service credentials" during integration service creation? Why didn't you specify infa_rep instead?

Hi Prasanna,
Are you using Oracle database? If yes then check whether service name and host name is correct or not. You will get correct connection information in tnsnames.ora file. Then check whether oracle service and oracle listener service are running or not. Most of the time this problem occurs because of listener service. So delete the current listener and create a new one and then retry again

There are no such books on the Informatica that I am aware of. What you can do first learn how to create a mapping and how to execute it. For this purpose you can search in net and will get lots of PDF and site. Once you can do that, use informatica help section learning different transformations. I have also learned informatica in this fashion.

hi santu i was trying to install  informatica, when  trying to install client im getting  INSTALLER UI MODE ERROR and when trying to istall server im getting an error called" invocation of java application has caused invocation target exception" can you please help me on this issue?

In Admin at Repository service creation, getting following err
"The PowerCenter Repository Service was created, but the service could not be enabled. You must enable the service before you can create content. The following error occurred while attempting to create the content. Error [DOM_10080] Cannot start service [rep_servic] because there is no process enabled or there is no node available for this service. Verify that service processes are enabled and nodes are running on the domain

I am trying to install informatica 9.5.1 on windows 8.1 server part installed successfully but when I am trying to create a repository as you have did in the video after successful installation of server I am getting an error which says

"The target of this internet short cut is not valid, Go to the internet shprt cut property sheet and make sure the target is correct" when I am trying to open Informatica administration console for repository creation.

Please guide me on this on how to fix it...

P.S: Also I have tried creating repository after the client installation but there the administration console opens but I am getting error in repository creation..
