When Headcanon Goes Too Far...

There have been many discussions regarding the gender identities of certain characters from media franchises such as Spider-Gwen (AKA Gwen Stacey) in Spiderman Across the Spiderverse, Yamato from One Piece, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Rivet from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and much more.

Today I say my piece on this media phenomenon of projecting ones gender identity onto characters, even when the canon of that property suggests otherwise.
