For those interested, the song refers to Robert 'Bobby' Kennedy, JFK's younger brother, who was assassinated in 1968 by a Palestinian named Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles after addressing supporters. "68 we rushed the gate..." The weapon used in Bobby K's assassination was a .22 caliber Iver-Johnson Cadet Revolver. I believe the "rushed the gate" part refers to the men who subdued Sirhan Sirhan after he shot Bobby 3 times (once in the head and twice in the back)
