2D2N: I hope you read this. I watched a few of your videos, and the airport was a breeze. To be honest, everyone there was helpful and no one was trying to scam me for anything. I met up with my girlfriend who flew into terminal three, (so I took the free blue shuttle to her terminal, super easy) and we took a free shuttle to our hotel in Cancun. The next day we took nacho to Playa del Carmen, and took nacho back to the airport four days after that. So much of what you said it was very helpful, and it ended up being a completely stress-free trip. It didn’t hurt that I know Spanish. But as a gringo, I might still have a couple of mistakes along the way. We confidently navigated the Airport and so much more thanks to you! Yes, we told nacho that you referred us.

My tip is to check the lines with the E-gates compared to standard Customs. The last time we went, the E-gate lines were much longer, only about 6 person wait for regular Customs, so we chose to do that compared to the E-gate line. We’ve done E-gates in the past, and it worked well those times since the lines were much shorter.

I don’t know if is because I live in Dallas and we usually use the DFW international airport, the Cancun airport is always so welcoming and easy to navigate. Love it!

Your videos have been so helpful. I’m going to Cancun in October and my friends keep telling me I’m going to get sick from the water (I have no large intestines due to severe UC) but I think I’ll be ok. Only going for 3 noches and I will only drink their bottled water. I’m going to call ahead to see if it’s name brand or their own filtered. Maybe I’ll even send a case of bottled water for them to hold for me to be on the safe side. But I don’t want to live in fear and not go. Your videos make me feel so much more comfortable. Just a little advice as far as checked bags goes delta and Alaska have a policy that if they don’t have your checked bag at the carousel within 20mins you can ask for a discount/credit/miles so I don’t mind if they are late lol

If you are checking bags I can tell you from my experiences that the immigration wait is nothing compared to the wait for your luggage. We zoom thru immigration (MX citizen) and by the time the luggage hits the carousel everyone on the plane has made it thru immigration. I have found that if you tell any of the transport company reps who you are booked with they are happy to point you in the right direction.
