Found Scribner Storybook Classics illustrated by N.C.Wyeth; The Last of the Mohicans, Kidnapped, Treasure Island, and Robinson Crusoe. If I didn't have grandchildren to send them to, I would make them up.

So glad you’ll be joining us again for Picture This! In the Night I Dream of Home looks amazing. I studied Classical Archaeology and love the caryatids. Beautiful illustrations in Sleeping Beauty - would love to see more of that illustrator. I’ve been trying to get through my physical tbr but it’s slow going, so the TBR clear out is a great readathon for me at the moment! Lovely Castle in the Mirror looks awesome. Probably past time to read the Anne McCaffrey 😂 Definitely finish Different Seasons! Great collection!

Im gunning for Byatt Batuman & Fuller (has a ring to it lol 🤓); always been curious about them (Possession is an all time fave)🤗💖 Im joining People April but am defo using it to dive into my backlist. Also 631:178 is a pretty respectable ratio imho / considering what a prolific reader (+ phd requirements) u are.👍😊

I loved Byatts Possession. I also read Angels and Insects. I saw the film and was disgusted about the incest and child sexual abuse. The Possession film was disappointing. The book was so good. Recently, I decided to buy the rest of her books to read. Let us know how this one is. My favorite illustrator is Eric Carle. I'm an early childhood teacher and have used his books to death.

I’m one of the few for who Daniel Deronda didn’t work, I much preferred Gwendolyn’s parts but, a reread is in order for me too to see if I feel the same. Apart from Oliphant and Braddon, which other authors are you looking at in your dissertation Elizabeth?
