For crawlers, since they are updated to no longer explode on conveyors, you can still use the player ship to make them explode since player ship respawn is instant, free, and the ship is fast.

Tip:use inverted sorters as junctions instead, its instant and makes the items go slightly faster(just select an item that dosn't go inside or it will mess up, unless if selected item needed to go to other way)

The chess scheme is much more efficient if you use inverted sorters and underflow gates instead of routers and junctions.
