This series is so good. The characters draw you right into their story. Binge worthy.

I'm waiting for you to make Wickham's Second Attempt, the Pride and Prejudice spin-off novel, into a movie. Foot impatiently tapping....

Kyle Maclachlan does a great impersonation or Gregory Peck doing Roosevelt. I mean that with kindness.

Norwegian Independence,
"We're neutral! No! Wait everyone come help us, why aren't you helping us?"
( Neutrality confusion?)
It certainly couldn't happen again? Ask the Fins? Putin's no threat to Ukraine, or...Crimea?
Chinese food, anyone?

The movie to watch if you want history, and not a soap opera for the ladies, isn't this series. It is "The King's Choice" in Norwegian and German with English subtitles. As I type this it is on You Tube Movies for free, at least for Premium subscribers. It is the prequel to this soapy woman's picture, to use a well worn Hollywood term. All this romance with FDR is a screenwriter's fantasy land. I think our president had a lot more on his mind in 1940 including our economy and preparing an isolationist America to defend itself.

I dont get the appeal of FDR in this. Olav is way sexier. FDR in this is pushy and creepy.

This series is NOT good. It's mediocre at best. It's all pretense; it's pretending to be drama. Where's the conflict? It's all performance and mood. It feigns to promise conflict, but it barely materializes. I watched the episode where the U-boat puts in on the coast of New England, and everyone scrambles to hide. Finally, some excitement! LOL
