Penny really lucked out, people think she could do better, but Penny knows she settled on Leonard because no one better than Leonard would want her. Leonard himself had more attractive girls come after him though out the show, except he just really liked penny at the end of the day.

Yeah, it's like that girl you like, and she spends a few hours persuading you that she doesn't want to get involved with anyone. It's not you. it's me.. 48 hours later, she has a new boyfriend.
Penny was wh0ring it out.
She gave Leonard a specific reason why not to get involved, which was obvious bs because she got involved with david.
Within 6 minutes of meeting david, she was hot for him, hours later they were having sex and pictures taken and at some point in that DAY! she labled him as boyfriend.
Note. Unless you're in kindergarten, it takes more than a day to know if one is boyfriend materiel.

I disagree that she didn't want to hurt Leonard's feelings. This guy pays her rent, and she gets free food and wifi. It's a good deal for Penny.
Penny was a massive hypocrite and clearly has no sense of self-worth because she was posing naked for a guy she had just met. She threw a few tears, and leonard folded like a wet rag.

Leonard should have taken the hint and walked, but the writers covered her clear hypocrisy with sheldons gift.
