Hmmm I don't take issue to a democratic candidate being held to their own standards. It would be hypocritical for him, and the left not to address it, and apologise where needed.
I would like to think leaders on both sides would be able to apologise if there base felt misaligned by their statements and actions. It is a sign of a good humble leader (altho I don't really consider Beto a serious contender in this race)
