Watercraft Zone is a website about Jet Skis and personal watercraft.
We cover news, reviews, advice on Jet Skis and personal watercraft – on Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Kawasaki and others – and lifestyle aspects of the sport.
Based in Australia, Watercraft Zone is a website to help buyers make informed decisions when choosing a Jet Ski or personal watercraft.
There are three main brands – Sea-Doo, Yamaha and Kawasaki – and each is well represented across the country.
Each brand of watercraft has its fair share of pros and cons – and they all have a loyal and passionate fan base.
This website aims to outline some of the differences across all three brands, to help buyers – particularly those who are new to the sport – when it comes to choosing a Jet Ski or personal watercraft.
Watercraft tested on this website are provided by Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Kawasaki, as well as dealers who represent those brands. Sometimes we borrow a brand-new model – in standard condition – owned by a member of the Jet Ski community. Regardless of how we source each watercraft, we review them honestly.
Demonstrator models are returned after we’ve tested them, usually after a day or a weekend, although sometimes we test them for extended periods. We also buy our own personal watercraft, to get an insight into their longevity.
We access technical information from trusted experts in the industry, who specialise in a particular brand – or who have worked on all three brands during their time in the sport.
While there is a lot of passion in the PWC community – and each brand has a strong following – we aim to report without fear or favour.
We have done countless hours on Yamaha, Sea-Doo and Kawasaki Jet Skis and found each brand has unique appeal. You can read about some of the pros and cons here.
Suffice to say, there is a lot to like about each brand of personal watercraft – but your choice will depend on your needs.
At last count, there were 37 models across three companies – Sea-Doo, Yamaha and Kawasaki. There is a personal watercraft to suit everyone.
We chose the name Watercraft Zone so we could include all brands – and leave room for new types of personal watercraft.
You can read about the evolution of personal watercraft, its inventor, and the Jet Ski name here.
