Butt Rock is older than any of these bands. I first heard the term in the early 90s describing bands certain bands from the 80's, like the scorpions.

I can only say in the 80's that my friends and I (No idea about the world) used the term Butt Rock to describe bands like Poison, Enuff Z Enuff, Winger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tigertailz, etc. Basically if the band had on more makeup than your girlfriend they were Butt Rock. (Twisted Sister Excepted of course as they had better music)...
