About this video
In this video Zane from Audio Tech TV (formerly Simple Green Tech) does a Cakewalk Tutorial that looks at how to use the Pro Channel in Cakewalk by Bandlab. The Pro Channel modules give you some incredible mixing power that can help you to speed up your workflow and get some classic analog sounds all while working within Cakewalk and not needing to add external plugins.

I have really come to love the Pro Channel. I wish that I had utilized it more before collecting a bunch of free plugins that are completely unnecessary. That BreVerb is also a hidden gem. I do wish that there was a Blue Stripe 1176 as I can't stand the Black one on my voice. I also find it odd that they didn't include a way to use the Sonitus plugins as modules in the prochannel, not that I ever use them. lol Not entirely true, their auto Tremolo has come in handy a time or two. I really wish that Cakewalk would give us a sampler though. It would be nice to have a way to reverse things, you know to give us some chord and reverb swells.

Thank you for these tutorials. I'm new to Cakewalk and mixing in general. I learning to record my drums with 8 mics. I can import all 8 tracks into Cakewalk and was wondering if there is a tutorial on just drum tracks and Cakewalk.

2240 plugins installed on your PC?! Man, I thought I was extreme with 778 plugins. Thanks for a great rundown of the Pro Channel and making me feel better about the size of my overwhelming plugin collection.😃

Are they the same as using Sonitus effects?

So, I have a question. These loadable presets for the pro channel, let's say I load the "rhythm guitar" preset. Does it have the often necessary low cut at 120hz or do I still have to set that in my ampsim?

Is any way to make automations in any Prochannel parameters?

Is there a use to the Pro Channel if most engineers are parralel processing on all their clips/stems? And using Reverb in pro channels simulates a send with the dry signal as we do with regular styled delay/reverb effects or is it like treating it as an fx chain?

Do you have an advise, how can i mute background noises while im playing guitar? i use sonitus gate, it works pretty good when the guitar ist muted, but as i start to play, i still hear like "hiss" in the background with each ton i play. Thank you :)

Nice video 😉

However, there is one little thing that bothers me.

Logically, the "Tape simulator" should be placed first to respect the order of an analog console.

Indeed, the "Tape simulator" is supposed to simulate a tape recording. In the mix, the tapes containing these recordings are played back: they enter the console and are processed.

Then, on the "Master", the "Tape simulator" must be positioned at the very bottom to simulate the fact of recording the whole mix on tape.

When recording, on the other hand, it is the other way round: the Tape Simulator should be at the bottom. And again, if we want to respect the letter, it must be only on the Master.

I`d love to be able to save all these videos to go back to when I get lost but I cant find a trust worthy way to do it.🤥
