Channing Tatum’s GAMBIT Gets 2016 Date – AMC Movie News

Actor Channing Tatum took to his twitter account yesterday and sent out the message "How do you sayOctober 7, 2016 in Cajun?”. Fox has announced this will be the release date for the previously confirmed X-MEN spin off film GAMBIT which will star Tatum. GAMBIT will follow X-MEN: APOCALYPSE which hits AMC Theatres on May 27th 2016, and DEADPOOL starring Ryan Reynolds on February 12th 2015.

Taylor Kitsch wanted to reprise his role of Gambit, in which he was portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), but Fox wanted someone else to take over the role. Channing Tatum then was cast in the role.

Yeah John you really give DoFP too much credit. It was Xmen: First Class that saved Fox's credibility. Plus First Class was way better than DoFP. It was also the film that proved how amazing Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy can be for a lot of people.

I think that like said at 3:19, DC may not be doing many movies, but has stayed true to the premise that the fans want more than 2 hours a year with their favorite MARVEL Characters. With DC's new Television Addition " The Flash" they seem to have found a good way to satisfy the craving for constant hero ACTION. Gotham & Arrow I don't personally watch. But I have always been a Flash fan. I realize that marvel has "Agents of Shield" (And I am a fan of the show) But its only so entertaining to watch sidekicks try to fight Hydra, not to mention the slow paced evolution of characters....  

Hate a Hater but Superman is ridiculous, Smallville sucks and batman will kill superman in the upcoming 2016 movie. The Comics say so. Kriptonite <- Nuff said. 

Glad Spiderman is coming home. Chaning I cant take seriously after the movie "This is the END" <- Suspected Illuminati Initiation. 
Deadpool should be great, ryan reynolds should do decent ( he cares about the character ).

Ps. I agree, gambit was an original part of the x-men animated series, was very upset about origins when they only gave us a few moments of gambit. I just hope that Stan lee trys to fix the universe. its very scattered about in various places and studios. not to mention that Wolverine gets his third stand alone movie too... but wolverine did stray away from the x-men often, so it makes sense, whereas gambit not so much.

Channing Tatum's best performance is in Side-Effect b/c he gets killed off within the 1st ten minutes, saving the entire audience from his shitty acting. Bad Gambit choice, last dude who played Gambit would be a better choice.

I have nothing against Channing Tatum as actor he's good but for Gambit I have to say pass, he looks Nothing like what he's portraying.
