Save this post for later! These are our top tips for visiting the Louvre museum in Paris (and believe us, these tips will definitely come in handy):

1. Get your ticket in advance and go early! We went during a slow time and we still had to wait in line for a long time.
2. Bring an umbrella. You might be stuck in line in the rain (like us 🙄😂).
3. Unless you’re super into seeing the Mona Lisa, skip the line. There is a very long line to see the Mona Lisa and you don’t even get that close. You can still see it from a side angle without waiting in line. BUT if that’s why you’re headed to the Louvre, definitely plan your trip around it.
4. Don’t just look at the art, look at the building. We were honestly more blown away by the architecture. It would be worth it to go just to experience the building. Try to walk through most of the rooms if you’re up for it. They’re all so beautiful and you’ll get a slice of what life in the 18th century was like for French royalty.
5. There is a cafe within the museum, but just in case the line is super long, eat before you go and pack snacks.
6. Don’t sleep on the Carrousel de Louvre. It’s a mall below the Louvre and it has some hidden gems. We found an incredible crystal shop and even a vegan candy store 🥲
7. Spend some time in the Tuileries Garden, even if you go another day. It’s gorgeous and a perfect place for a post-lunch stroll.

The Louvre is definitely worth it, even if it’s just once. Follow for more 🥰✌️
