I wouldn't say the GOP underperformed if we are comparing them to the Dems. Everything is just close this year because America is divided. The abortion decision hurt the GOP this election.

Even for people whose main issue is the economy, it would only motivate voting for Republicans if they were convinced that Republicans could and would actually help. And they can't. The world is at the end of two years of COVID lockdowns, in a war between major food producers, and heading into Chinese economic collapse. It's going to suck, no matter what country you're in or who you vote for. People whose issue is the preservation of Democracy, or freedom of reproductive choice on the other hand, have a sure thing if Democrats get elected. They can and actually will address those issues, in ways that Republican candidates absolutely will not.

It really doesn't matter who wins, anyone elected will just end up sticking it to us.

I realized when voting, the economy is gonna heal with time. I will not stand for my rights being threatened because that will be harder to get back.

Exactly because we are not as stupid as trump thinks we are. We see right through the crap and are voting accordingly

Imagine watching that election and saying they "under performed"

I mean when you have the majority of media, hollywood, academia, corporation on your side parrating your talking points 24/7....it helps.

When we need to use decimal places to show more disparity between candidates, we really are divided as a country. I recommend adding a bullet proof vest to your holiday shopping.

They took the House & remained a threat in the Senate. How is that underperforming

The reason FL looks different from so many other states is just like they said- our model. We have done mail in voting and early voting for a while now successfully while other states had it set up specifically after covid hit. We've had time to iron out the problems. No other state wants to do it our way though because we actually try to prevent voter fraud.

Things aren't fully adding up this midterm. Like Georgia. How do they overwhelmingly vote republican governor and house yet split the Senate? Fishy fishy

yet they get the house speaker and maybe senate if arizona and georgia work out .. seems like a win is a win

I wouldn’t call taking back the Senate and the House underperforming.

This message clearly resonated with voters.... The economy will heal, losing rights and freedom will have lasting effect.

The fact there wasn't a "red wave" doesn't give me any hope in the intelligence of the US voters.

i think something people have forgotten is that shock jockeying and extreme identities stand out Because they are extreme. The 'main street' of america can never be the shock jockey's outlook, simply because the shock jockey needs to stay ahead of the outrage curve. If we all Were rush limbaugh then there would be no rush limbaugh. He is rush limbaugh because he was always going to take a controversial view. He was always going to get listens and 'clicks' because he was outrageous, not because it was workable.
