AI box for BMW iDrive ID6 Fail! Android Carplay

I purchased the AI box for BMW iDrive. It does absolutely nothing happens. It's supposed to emulate CarPlay and allow an Android device.

Im having the same issue, is there special boxes you need? Im having the ID6 as well. It happens like in the Video. Any Solutions? Is Bimmer needed?

What about getting back to the original BMW screen to control things like the heat and backup cameras etc.?

Same problem here, i just ordered the ottocast i3 for bmw. I think the problem is in the communication between the ID and the box. As long as there no communication nothing will appear!

Does the box power up??? Did you try to connect to a external power source. The usb is just for power the box. Can the usb from the car not have enough Juice to power the box????

I think the issue is the box does go search and accept by it's own. You need to control the box to look for your bmw. At newer version of bmw with idrive 7 you can select and search gor other devices. Which you can't with idrive 6 unfortunately..

Do you have it in the sub port with the little usb symbol on it ? thats the one for data, the other is charging only i think.

alternative its maybe possible to code that your usb output have more Volts
