It's Better than 97% of Custom Keyboards (with ZERO Mods)

The Evoworks Evo80 brings the custom keyboard feel but as a prebuilt keyboard with no modding or building needed. In this video, we compare it to cheaper alternatives and figure out if it's worth the price or not.

Thanks to Qwertykeys for sponsoring this video!

I'm loving this keeb! I like how easy it is to get inside of it and mod it. Right up my alley! Thanks for another amazing review. 😀

Loving your return!!!

Thoughts on reviewing ortholinear keebs, like corne or some of the other custom types?

It's a lot easier to buy a good keyboard than it used to be. The big manufacturers are going to need to start offering aluminum to even keep up with the customs.

Seeing all these TKL style prebuilts, I really wish there were more prebuilt 100% keyboards to choose from.

Womier is shipping RD75 soon (Retail $120 I think, their kickstarter just finished), which has the ball-catch. Will be interested to see a comparison if/when you get your hands on one.

Pogo pins is what the USB daughter board connects to the PCB btw, along with the magnets for alignment I'm assuming.

I hope qwertykeys offers additional plates for purchase, such a carbon fiber and aluminum, and support for different mounting styles like the Neo80. I also hope they'll do matching numpads, since I'm one of those numpad weirdos, but I do like to chuck it in the desk drawer when I'm not using it.

I got the SK75 a couple months ago. It sounds and feels so good out of the box.

I found it when it was at a discounted price and could apply a coupon. It was $88 and shelved my Halo 75.

Appreciate the review. Goods stuff.

If it helps, that style of connection is called Pogo pin. They can come in different forms, but the basic idea is anything that's a simple line up and press connection is Pogo.

Nice review.
I like it has more RGB than the neo80, but damn those switches are loud as heck. I would have liked to hear the other switches to see how loud they were.
Killer price point since it includes switches, keycaps, and assembly, especially for the feature set.
Like you said, it's more for people who enjoy keyboards and want something easily that's better than what they already have, but don't want to think about anything when it comes to switches and caps.
