I loved how Trish managed to land a new job in seemingly every episode. "Guess who got a job at?"

Austin asking Ally what she likes and her saying with so much enthusiasm, “I like pickles” has stuck in my head for the last ten years.

What’s kinda cute is that after that first episode Austin would preface every single performance with “this song was written by my best friend ally Dawson”

Seriously Trish’s resume must have been powerful to get a job that easily

"Characters can die or you can romance them, not at the same time"
"Yeah thats a different game" Ok that got me

I don’t care how cringy or unrealistic this show is…I will love it forever. It’s my comfort show, and my childhood. It’s like Mac and cheese or dinosaur chicken nuggets; it doesn’t matter how flavorless they are…I’ll always eat them and I’ll always enjoy it because I grew up doing that.

Also imo, once you get passed the first season (but specifically seasons 3 & 4) the show gets immensely better. The characters mature a lot or it’s not just so cringy all the time.

Fun fact: The series was originally called " Miami love story" and "Miami music" before they decided to call it "Austin and Ally"

“I didn’t mean to steal your song”

Wow, so you unconsciously performed, filmed and uploaded your a song you know isn’t yours to the internet

Okay, the best part of this entire show, the part that makes it stand out from every other standard Disney channel TV show, is that it doesn't take itself too seriously at all and it's genuinely funny

I like how he entire show was pretty much Austin and Ally telling the story of their life to their kids. Idk why I love that idea so much

What made this show so enjoyable to me is the genuine friendship between the characters. Especially before Austin and Ally began dating, it was a show about 4 friends seperately living their lives (meaning each had an agenda of their own) and coming together to folllow their dreams. Sounds cheesy, but that is how I perceived it at the time.

Austin and Ally were a cute couple. I actually really liked their dynamic.

Ah yes, giving other people credit, the most virtuous of things and most definitely not the bear minimum.

one thing that's pretty unique about Austin and ally is the ending. the whole last episode is like a "10 years later" reunion. i never really watch A&A when it was on, but i was browsing the musical section of disney+ a few months ago and binged the whole thing. where so many shows get canceled or just vanish, the fact that this one had a planned ending was refreshing, especially when it completed the will they wont they story for both the love and the fame, as well as some struggles that while not exactly 1 for 1, seem like they would have talked to a lot of high school kids on the verge of college and careers. not to mention how they took such an overall annoying character like trish and made her success seem like it fit instead of just being handed to her like how she just fumbled into being both A's manger or her endless stream of jobs.

The show might be called Austin & Ally, but it was always "The Dez Show" for me. It's a testament to how good of an actor Calum Worthy is to make Dez seem like a believable teenager. Dez was the Gen Z equivalent of Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld.

I loved the running gag of Trish always having a new job lol

And animate however you like!

Does anyone else remember that Noah Centineo played Ally’s crush the cellphone accessory guy in a few eps? (Thank you so much for all the likes omg!)

In the show, they make fun of Ally's goody-goody nature and lack any fun in her life. But like she has like so many responsibilities for a 15-16-year-old. Like working what I assume full time at her father's store, songwriting for Austin, getting straight A's in school, basically being the mom friend of her two friends and boyfriend, etc. If this was real life, I would be surprised she hadn't had a mental breakdown at some point. I'm pretty relaxed and chill. But if I had been on my feet all day working probably below minimum wage, some guy & his weird friend came in, banging on the drums with corn dogs, and being generally annoying. I would have had a lot worse reaction than she did. I can tell you retail can just suck the fun right out of you and you have some of the strangest experiences with people. Also, shout to Austin and Ally for both being the reason I realized I was bisexual and my sexual awakenings

One of the last good shows on Disney. No talks about this show anymore the cast was so talented especially Ross. He can sing dance act and play so many instruments he’s amazing.
