Personally, I loved our Pandemic Legacy plays. We completed all three and adored every single one of them. They are a brilliant experience that we still talk about.

I think what makes them so successful is they really take the legacy idea and run with it. They play with the rules and give you just enough story to make a very mechanically driven game interesting.

I expected to back Arydia, Earthborne Rangers, The Artemis Odyssey, and Agemonia. Instead I'm backing Lands of Galzyr, Legend Academy, and Spire’s End: Hildegard. I expected August and September to have lots of interesting campaigns so I really cut back in the months leading up. Now I'm waiting to see what gets announced during Gen Con to tempt me...

We just finished Pandemic Legacy Season 0 a couple weeks ago, completing the trilogy, and honestly I can't recommend playing them strongly enough. It has the great co-op system (that you already like) at its core, then you mix in evolving stories, new mechanics, opening tuck boxes, building up the characters and more...we had an absolute blast. You get a minimum of 12 plays of each season, and each play has its own new twist, so we got far more entertainment for our money than most of our other games.

I would definitely recommend you play your Pandemic Legacy. I was a skeptic myself, having bought a sold a copy unplayed before finally requiring and diving in. I have been generally unimpressed with the legacy elements in most games. Ironically the legacy of Pandemic Legacy hasn't lived up to its forefather. However, it really works to create a fanatic experience in PL. An important part of this is that the underlying game is solid, in stark contrast to games that rely upon their legacy elements to be interesting. The benefit of the legacy part of PL is that it adds real stakes to your decisions. Sacrifices feel like sacrifices, and betrayals have real consequences. Even though the text is quite sparse, the story is highly memorable and impactful. It all added up to one of the finest gaming experiences of my life, and one I was very glad to share with my wife. I now have Seasons 2 and 0 waiting for me in the shelf, but I am saving them because their consumability makes them all the more special, and I want to space them out a bit.

"What am I going to do with this?" Yeah, that is a Great Question to be asking with every KS campaign. I went ahead and backed the HG Wells Expansion of Warehouse 13 and Spire's End: Hildegard. May have fell prey to sunken cost on W13, but it's a fun show and I like the idea of playing the game eventually and I figured it would be safer to get it now. I'm looking forward to SE:H as a midpoint between Unbroken and other deeper solo plays like 7th Continent. Both games have fun dice and mechanics to go with them.

Can't wait to hear about the Japanese games. I was thinking my wallet was safe watching this video. But then you had to drop Loop in there. I like the look of it and will be looking deeper at it.

August was a testament to FOMO control. The backlog of games I own that need to be played kept me to backing a|state ( the rpg is good and the company is great) and upping my $1 pledge for Isle of Cats to include the big box and expansion. My son wanted the kittens and while Isle of Cats doesn't have a horrendous setup, the ease of the big box will get it to the table more. Sept. has me a little more worried, but I'm strengthening my FOMO shield and hoping for the best.

I'm w u on Arydia. I backed for $1. Wait and see, I guess. I kinda regret not backing Lands of Galzyr. I'm not into the animal folk style but this may be one I come back to maybe on late pledge. Lords of Vaala may be a sleeper hit for me.. Their campaign really impressed me so I went all in(gameplay). Skipped on Black Rose Wars rebirth. It's just alot of money. So many $150+ games coming out. Gonna have to be really picky from now on.
So far Sep, got my eye on Agemonia(again, pricey). I'm liking Dungeons of Infinity. It checks all the right dungeon crawl boxes for me.
Matrix 4 trailer out today! Looks good!
Another great vid thx!

I wouldn't worry about the legacy aspect of divinus, they've already said they are using re-usable stickers so none of them will damage the board and can be taken off and on. And they are giving you an additional set of stickers just in case you don't want to go through the hastle of putting them back on the original sticker sheet.

Backed Oros, Spire's End: Hildegard and Legend Academy. Picked up Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition and played that this past weekend. Also last month ordered Bullet online, stuck waiting in shipping limbo for that one.

I backed several smaller campaigns this month; Volfyrion Guilds, Oros, LOTS: Filled In, Crossing Fates, Dragonbond: Lord of Vaala, and Route 66 The Mother Road. It was a grand total of $340 plus shipping. Of that list, I am most excited about Oros.

I am glad that I didn't back Arydia and I am backing Agemonia, it could not end being so good as Arydia promises but for my taste it seems to fit better. Also, I prefer what they are including like several ways of doing the tutorial, optional companion app, voiceovers, etc instead of "just" painted minis. It seems for this company they don't have the excuses of doing several SKUs.

Pros of Pandemic Legacy: an experience is what we aim for when playing games. If you enjoy the ride, who cares if its over after.
Cons of Pandemic Legacy: Pollution. We are essentially not reselling but instead trashing/recycling the game which is sad in this day and age.

For me personally, I am not crazy about the pandemic games, got legacy anyways due to praise, played 2 games and never touched again since.

The pandemic legacy games are outstanding. Since you like pandemic, you should definitely play them. Legacy games are an experience to enjoy. The issue of the game not lasting forever is a red herring for anyone who ever spends money on events such as a movie or a concert. I can’t speak to all legacy games, but the Pandemic ones are very well crafted to give you a great experience.

Where do you typically sell your games? You should do a segment on games leaving your collection and why/what is replacing it/where we might buy it off you. FTR, Pandemic Legacy - Season 1 is worth the playthrough if you haven't had any spoilers. :)

This month I only backed Wild: Serengeti. That campaign has improved daily. Probably the most "backer-responsive" campaign I've been involved with.

I vote up the idea of a collaboration. You might have a different take, but many creators seem open to mix things up and if you ask people with thought provoking opinions then you should be in good company! Cheers and good luck!

Both those Pandemic Legacy games are worth playing.

Wanted to back a few games this month like Arydia, Galzyr, Earthborne Rangers and namely, Black Rose Wars; but between Lords of Ragnarok and Sankokushin, I kinda just decided to hold back on all these other games to wait and see how big the hit those will be.

I was in for $1 for Arydia but cancelled since I have Tanares and Aeon Trespass Odyssey coming so I'll have my big campaign games. Plus I already have Gloomhaven at home. Lol.
