I get so many comments from users having the exact same problem, so i really wanted to try a SHORT resolve video because I know it can be very frustrating and tricky to figure out. 99% of the time its USER ERROR...

Exactly my problem! I actually was using a Go Pro Hero 9 with usb c for webcam. But after your HDMI vs USB-C hero 9 Video I had to find a camera capture device and cable, as well as the overpriced media mod. Dear goodness that thing is expensive lol. Thanks for the help! Extremely important question for this Media Mod :
Can you use both: HDMI out (for streaming) and Type C (for charging) the GoPro ??

The interface is pretty terrible but what's even worse is that on HDMI, webcam or Livestreaming the camera won't auto-rotate! So if your mount involves hanging it upside down for some reason it won't flip even if you have that enabled. You also can't stream from a branded account (wtf GP?). When these cameras work they're the best... but they're buggy and full of half-baked features. I wish DJI would get their Action 2 out already (if it's coming at all). GoPro as a company sucks balls.

The output is only 1080 we can’t change it ??? It says 5k 4K on the GoPro but app says 1080

Thank you my friend, you just saved the day! 🤩 My Gopro did not want to get out of playback mode and control by smartphone didnt work - camera busy.... yes... swipe until you highlight camera and tap... totaly worked!

...so are you using a standard Micro HDMI cable - I couldn't quite tell from the video as it looked like you had an adapter between the cable and the computer? Guessing any OEM micro HDMI cable is good, or a specific one (i.e. GoPro branded)? Thanks Sunny

I like your videos.
But. my actual experience with my new GoPro 10 and media mod. The media mod works 50% of the time. The usual GoPro quality issues and the HDMI out give poor quality video and high delay. The GoPro has 50 features, but the usable ones are a few. It seems all YouTubes are paid ads. Danny, Thanks for your videos, but why you do not mention the problems when you post videos?

I left the GoPro, and after like 10min, the media mod is working now. Oh. Does the USB function on the media mod like the camera USB? I can charge the camera through the media mod USB, but I have to remove the media mod to use data directly to Gopro USB. Do they have all the same issues or only mine?

Oh. One last thing. I got the shorty GoPro mini extension today. It is such poor design and quality. My conclusion is there are tons of issues in the GoPro products, and if any reviewer mention issues, they do not receive free units, so the model is about views, not reviews.

Hey. Thanks for the video. Is there a way to make the HDMI out to be clean as a default setting instead of having to use the device hooked up via hdmi to the gopro? I'm using the 10 as a net cam for basketball games. Looks great but it's a pain to have to get rid of the display settings when setting up and if there is any loss of power those display settings return. Is there a default to provide clean HDMI every time? Thanks

Any way to get to the live view automatically? When I'm set up for streaming our RC car racing, the camera is on the drivers stand and the streaming computer is in the control room. I can't see the HDMI output when touching the GoPro controls to see what I'm doing.

I have the hdmi icon appearing with the media mod, even without connecting hdmi, it seems a defective media mod, although it worked for a few months flawlessly

The minute you connect the HDMI it should go into a clean HDMI Output not the recorded menu .
Sometimes you use this camera wireless and it is a pain in the ass with the monitor far away .

Hi Danny! When you press the eye icon and the top battery and memory card icons go away, do you still have a dark vignette on the top of the screen? I have it on mine and it looks like the drop shadow from underneath the top icons doesn't go away, even the icons do.
