One more tip i'd give is to look into the London Pass. If you're only here for like two days it's not worth it but if you're here for a week like we were, you should look into it as it saved us, an adult and two kids, $500 with the conversion. One more i'd give is don't be afraid of visiting London. As a tourist you'll never end up in the worse areas like Brixton and Hackney unless on purpose. I absolutely love this city! Fun london guides is really good too for learning more in depth about the city

Hello! 🇬🇧 Just to add to your Oyster card tip: while your individual tube rides can be a few £ each, the card will cap at a travelcard price depending on where you are. For example, if you stick within Zone 1 for the day, you won't pay more than £8 for the day - so eventually your tube and bus rides later in the day will become free 😊

You should do a video on the Lake District!

If your in London, Victoria Coach Station has coaches what go to all parts of the UK so you see outside of London. Easier to pre book through National Express but you can buy tickets there. Bristol the largest city in the South West is only 2 hours away from London.

As somebody from the UK, I would suggest staying outside of London and commute to London for 1-2 nights. That would save so much money!! Somewhere North of London like Bedford, Luton, Northampton, Peterborough. A train ticket is still expensive but it will save overall if you see London for 2 days. It also gets you out to real England, the small villages and pubs! Also for Breakfast and Lunch, go to Lidl, they are so cheap all over the country!

For the tube use i always use my contactless card. Its the same price as oyster and much easier as you don't have to top up.

Also always check on google maps or whatever where you're going as it can be easier and quicker to walk then get a tube as stations in central are close to each other

I was in London this January for a few days, and I have to say, it was really affordable in the off-season. Especially the accomodation.
The weather was also okay (pretty normal English weather).

I can highly recommend going in off-season, if you have to look at your budget

IF you stay a bit outside of central London hotels can be very cheap. I stayed for 5 nights in Wembley close to the stadium for about £250. It was a Ibis hotel so not a hostel or such. There was a commuter train that took me to Marylebone in like 15 mins nearby too.

Or. Buy a day travelcard for £12 ($18) and you can do as many rides as you want: Bus, tube, tram, Overground. Ride by bus and sit on the top, you see more and it's not crowded like the tube. Also can I mention @ 01:14 those £5 notes are no longer in circulation. And come to London this week, we are having a heatwave over 30 degrees c.

Some of the coins and banknotes in this video are actually not legal to use, there are newer designs now. I hope this helps!

The other one I suggest to people is ration yourself. There are so many amazing things to see and do in London that you can blow all your fuses very quickly. Allow yourself some down time.
